More than 80 universities and colleges in England offer the social work degree course which is available at both undergraduate (Bachelors) and postgraduate (Masters) level. All of the higher education institutions listed below have undergone rigorous checks by the GSCC to make sure they are suitable to offer the degree.
In some instances, a teaching institution is listed below in its own right. This is the higher education college which will be teaching the course is linked with an accredited university which will issue the degree.

This list shows all the courses which have received final approval from the GSCC. Only these courses, in England, will enable you to be eligible for registration as a social worker. For more information about registering please visit the 'apply for registration' page.
Students on employment based courses are not eligible for social work bursaries.
