Complaints

We try to give the best possible service in all areas of our work, but we accept that, sometimes, something may go wrong. When this happens, we would like to know, so we can put things right.

We view complaints as valuable feedback about our work. We will use the feedback to review how we do things, to learn from our mistakes and to improve the way we work. At the end of the day, we want you to be satisfied with the experience you have had with us.

What do we treat as a complaint?

The GSCC has defined a complaint as an expression of dissatisfaction about the way in which we provide services, including the conduct of our staff. Anyone affected by the way we provide our service or the conduct of our staff can make a complaint.

To find out how to make a complaint please download our document ‘Complaints about the General Social Care Council’ This document goes through our complaints procedure in an easy step-by-step guide, and can be read alongside the complaints form.
