The General Social Care Council is seeking views on the first stage of the GSCC review of post registration training and learning (PRTL) policy in relation to registered social workers.
We have a fast growing number of registrants and we want to learn from them and from other stakeholders what they think about current arrangements. Please note that this is the first stage in a review process and it is designed to provide us with sufficient information to make a decision about whether the existing policy and processes are “fit for purpose”. If our Council decides that they are, then we will take the matter no further. If we decide that they are not, then we will undertake a further stage of activity to produce detailed policy proposals. These would of course be subject to full consultation before they were implemented.
