The General Social Care Council (GSCC) has today (21 February) welcomed the Department of Health (DH) report Trust, Assurance and Safety – The Regulation of Health Professionals in the 21st Century.

Speaking from the launch of the report, Rodney Brooke, GSCC Chair said: “We welcome the principles of this report. The GSCC is already working closely with the Council for Healthcare Regulatory Excellence on regulatory issues. We look forward to continuing our close work with the Commission and other workforce regulators in the future, for example, on the proposed work on a common definition of good character.”
