Sir Rodney Brooke, who was appointed Chair of the GSCC in 2002, was due to step down in February 2008. However, to support the GSCC’s new Chief Executive, Mike Wardle in his early stages of appointment and to provide continuity to the organisation during a dynamic and demanding period, his appointment has been extended.

Mike Wardle, Chief Executive of the GSCC said:

“The GSCC is extremely fortunate to continue to have Rodney remain with the organisation as we enter into an exciting and challenging phase.

“As the GSCC prepares to extend the benefits of registration to domiciliary care workers and their managers, Rodney’s expertise and leadership will be invaluable in helping to achieve our goals.”
