How to apply

Step 1 - Find out how registration will affect you

Read our registration information and advice. Please select the option that best describes you:

• Social worker
• Student
• Social workers trained and qualified outside the UK
• Social care workers
• Employer

Step 2 - Complete the application form

To join the Social Care Register you will need to complete the application form. The pack is available online or by order.

Our online application form facility is currently unavailable due to maintenance work being done to the system. In the meantime, if you would like to obtain an application form you can order a copy by post or download a PDF file from the relevant section of the website. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, the facility will be available again as soon as possible.

The GSCC will contact you for more information or to confirm your registration.

Once your registration has been confirmed you can check our website to see your public facing registration details and find out more about maintaining your registration.
