The General Social Care Council is responsible for regulating and supporting social work education and training. We accredit universities who offer social work qualifications at both qualifying and post-qualifying levels, and we quality-assure all social work courses.

Raising standards in social work education

The General Social Care Council maintains standards of education in social work by setting standards for education, and carrying out inspections to ensure that it is consistent and of good quality.
